When you apply for PACT PRO membership, we ask for information to verify that you are a working makeup artist, including your job title, portfolio/Instagram handle, primary discipline, and a supporting document such as a callsheet or work sample. We use this solely to assess and periodically re‑confirm your eligibility for the programme, and to administer your membership discount. We do not use supporting documents for any other purpose, and do not share them outside Pact Pro Ltd except where needed to operate the Site (e.g. secure file storage) as described in Section 5.
We rely on the following legal bases, as required under UK and EU GDPR:
Some of the providers we use to run the Site or send marketing emails may process data outside the UK or EU, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK and EU data protection law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or the provider's own adequacy certifications.
We keep order and payment records for as long as required by UK tax and accounting law (currently at least 6 years). PACT PRO application data is kept while your membership is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to prevent re‑applications intended to circumvent our verification process. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We delete or anonymise data once it's no longer needed for these purposes.
Under UK and EU GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; ask us to delete your data; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thepropact.com. We will respond within one month.
The Site and PACT PRO programme are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data appropriately protected.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will post the updated version here with a revised "Last updated" date, and where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
